Integrated food is one of the most important factors that affect children's health ... and "malnutrition" is what was the 11-month-old "Sajdia" suffering from.

At Sajida first visit to the nutritional clinic which implemented by St.Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee , Al-Jazeera and Euphrates Office, Her weight was nearly (4,400 kg) because she had vomiting and diarrhea bouts that lasted for several weeks. The child has been examined by the medical team of "Vitamin 4" project in Al-Houl camp, who in turn followed-up her condition until she recovered from those complications.

After that, Sajida went through several phases of treatment, during which she received an integrated nutrition . From therapeutic peanut butter(NUT), to a detailed explanation to the mother on how to take it for two months . With an emphasis on stopping the therapeutic butter in case of any side effects and referring to the specialist doctor, as well as observing the general condition of the child by the nutritional nurse every week.

The child moved beyond the sensitive phase "SAM" in the program (OTP), and turned into a "MAM" malnutrition, to be entered then into (SFP) program to give her a supplementary peanut butter "SUP". Also, taking care to alert the parent of the necessity to review the nutritional clinic every 15 days to measure the child's weight, height and (MUAC).

Sajeda was healed due to the parents' strict adherence to the instructions , and to the great role that the nutritional nurse and the entire medical team have played. We hope that the parents always follow-up these cases , and make sure to provide a healthy and integrated environment for the children.
